Grooming standards:

Male Drill Team Cadets: All male drill team cadets must conform to Marine Corps grooming standards while in uniform. Haircuts will be graduated on the sides and back and may not exceed 3 inches in length on the top of the head. Sideburns, if worn, may not extend below the orifice of the ear.

All other Male Cadets: Male cadets who are not members of the drill team are required to have haircuts that enable them to wear the designated Marine Corps cover properly and without looking inappropriate. Hair will not touch the ears or the collar while in uniform. Eccentric haircuts and sideburns are not authorized. No hair on the face is allowed (i.e. mustaches, goatees, and beards).

All Female Cadets: Female cadets with long hair must wear their hair up, with no barrettes, pins, etc. visible when wearing the designated Marine Corps cover. Female cadets with short hair may wear their hair down, provided it does not go beyond the top of the uniform collar.

Jewelry-Eccentric Clothing/Hair: One religious necklace may be worn in uniform if not visible. All other necklaces and bracelets are not authorized for wearing with the uniform. Female cadets are authorized to wear one pair of gold or silver stud earrings in uniform. Male cadets are not authorized to wear earrings while in uniform. Rings and watches are authorized for wear with the uniform as long as they are not flashy or overly conspicuous. Other than rings already mentioned, rings will not be worn on any part of the face or body in or out of uniform or while participating in a designated Marine JROTC activity. Eccentric glasses (to include sunglasses) are not to be worn while in uniform. No chains will be worn by cadets in or out of uniform or while participating in a designated Marine JROTC activity. Shirts or any clothing depicting illegal drugs, alcohol or inappropriate slogans are not authorized for wear by cadets during JROTC classes or designated JROTC activities. Male and female cadets when wearing the Marine Corps uniform and on designated "uniform day" are required to comply with published grooming standards in regard to hair. Eccentric haircuts and coloring of hair is not authorized. Failure to comply with above Uniform and Grooming Standards may result in disciplinary action.
